C17 Globemaster III in the Low Level envelope........
After seeing a posted heads up of activity in LFA17 and only 1 1/2 drive away I high tailed it up to Smaithwaite with my usual partner in crime. The morning consisted of 2 x AH-64, C17 & 2 x AW101's. Unfortunately the AH64's puled up off the lake and disappeared before Raven Cragg, but thankfull...

Australian Navy MH-60R Seahawks LFA7 Low Level
A glorious day on Corris was only spoilt by no aircraft turning up, so myself and Starbug1981 decided we'd look for a new location in the hope of catching the Australian Navy MH-60R's that were due to fuel stop at RAF Valley on the way to JW in Scotland. We spent an hour scoping out goggle maps (whi...

Re: NATO Tiger Meet Poznan 14-25 May 2018
Are we sure anyone has received their tickets for the combined event? I feel those who have received their tickets may be for the show only and not included in the stringent security checks that "may" be being carried out. I agree it is poor that the website has not been updated and I feel...

ZH894 RAF Chinook on a gas n go!
Another quick blast down to the City Airport, Manchester (also known as Barton Aerodrome) saw ZH894 Royal Air Force Boeing CH-47 Chinook HC2A drop in for a rotors running gas and go. Quite where his partner ended up is unknown as it should have been a pair, but those are the mysteries of military mo...

Sailors in the city - Manchester, England
A quick blast down the motorway during a late lunch resulted in catching a Royal Navy Merlin on a rotors running refuel at the City of Manchester Airport, more widely known as Barton Aerodrome. The Merlin bashed the circuit for 20 minutes before a quick 10 minute fuel stop and off into the distance....

USAF C130's galore in Low Level flight, LFA7 UK
An impromptu day in the mountains recently found me shivering in winds with a wind chill of -16 degrees, all in search of my first Ramstein aircraft in the Low Level envelope. A long day of snow showers and passing cloud, plus strong winds meant low shutter speeds were not our friends on the day, bu...

The light was golden just as the sun began to set (lasted about 10 minutes), it has been adjusted for highlights, contrast, crop etc.Alpha Kilo One wrote:Love the light on 7 and 8.
Did you tweak it with Photoshop, or is that just "natural and available" light visible?
Thanks,

Salisbury Plain Training Area & RAF Odiham
Having booked a TLE event for the evening, we thought we'd mix up the trip and chase a few Heli's for the day. So a few shots from a morning on SPTA followed by an evening on the ramp at RAF Odiham on 09/02/18. 1). https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4614/39287565245_7003514c77_b.jpg ZJ231 (1 of 1) by Ke...

Nice shots, absolutely gutted though, that I didn't know about this event as I was working in Portugal (Evora) and had the 13/01 as a day off
