Most, if not all, Sanicole participants fly out of Kleine Brogel. So you will see roughly the same aircraft at Sanicole and Kleine Brogel, except for spare aircraft (which stay at KB) and some helicopters which fly directly out of Leopoldsburg (the Sanicole Airshow location). Although the F-15s and Rafales aren't operating out of Leeuwarden doesn't mean they could not occasionally drop by.
In case of emergency, Leeuwarden is much closer to the exercise area than Lakenheath, and much easier to land on than an aircraft carrier.

- Naar voren is vleugels naar voren

I was there last year to visit Chernobyl, and also visited the State Aviation Museum in Kiev. There are two gates where you have a clear view of the runway and north-eastern taxiway of Zhuliany Airport.
Taking pictures was no problem when I was there.
Entrance fee is 50 uah (about 1,55 euro)

That only adds to the confusion.
The English version of that site says august, while the Russian version gives July...
