Trouble with the IWM is that their policy dictates that every exhibit must be ""genuine" so the TBM was always going to have to go one day. Other museums are happy to take an aircraft and paint it in a 'non-original' scheme in order to tell a story, and I'm certain that it could find ...

Hi all; Last week I was on a family holiday in Belgium, and we passed by the For Freedom Museum in Ramskapelle, near to Zeebrugge. (unfortunately just after closing time) Outside on the grass is a N1203 Norécrin, painted in Luftwaffe colours. Does anyone know its identity? I saw an obscure reference...

It could be just because Moonbeam has been on maintenance and hasn't got its new Permit yet...anyway, I can confirm that our TF-51 will be there, along with Spitfire XIV and V, and the Corsair. I have the Permits form the Dutch Government here in my hand...

T-28 accident at Duxford, crew safe
Hi all;
Locally based T-28 N14113 suffered a nose landing gear collapse on take-off at Duxford this lunchtime. The pilot escaped without injury, and the aircraft is now being recovered off the runway.

The aircraft slid along the runway on the upper nose gear leg after the lower portion (with wheels still attached) separated. Big damage to the forward fuselage, all the skins are heavily creased. Looks like it will be out of service for at least a few weeks.
