Misschien mosterd 10 maanden na de maaltijd: kisten met 300mm schuin van voren pakken met 1/650 geeft altijd kans op neus/staart onscherp. Daar kan je niets aan doen want wordt veroorzaakt door verschil in hoeksnelheid van neus en staart tov de fotograaf. Willem Hellferich schreef ooit eens een stuk...

For me the wrong position is IS=ON and MODE=1: then, during panning, the lens tries to correct the panning movement, creating even more internal "vibration". The heat haze is the strongest close to the ground and becomes less of a problem when taking pictures of airplanes high in the air. ...

Geert, I have the same lens and use it also sometimes with the 1.4 extender (version II for me). My body is a EOS 7D mkII. I do not have your problems, but I am curious if you also see worse performance with only the 300mm mounted on the camera, and no extender. In addition I have these remarks: I s...
