Re: N800PM Gulfstream 5

With apologies for bumping this one, I’ve just finished listening to ‘Devil Dragon Pilot’ by Laurence A Colby on Audible. It’s a novel, but the author is clearly ‘authentic’. The novel mentions Special Forces borrowing a civil Gulfstream and having it modified with a rear exit for high level parachu...

Re: Nellis AFB (LSV/KLSV) - 2023

Just looking through photos from a visit on 27 and 28-Apr-23. Snake01 flight included a F-16 coded 'WA' 124 which is a new one on me. Is this 89-2124 ex-'SD'? Unfortunately the photo can't read the FY. Any confirmation appreciated. 19-5947 HC-130J was present on both days and 73-1594 EC-130H arrived...

Re: Aeroseum, Göthenburg, Sweden.

Nice photos! Looking at the various lists of residents and your photos, it appears that the Saab 105/Sk60 (on the hill behind the Mi-2) coded 37 on the nose is not recorded. Does anyone know the airframe ID of this one?

Many thanks

Re: Edwards AFB air show 15-16 Oct

Thanks, but those two were at the western end under the 4/5 rows of sunshelters. The two I saw were while driving out of the show off the lakebed, not quite as far as the NASA facility but closer to the SH F-18s and C-20.

Re: Edwards AFB air show 15-16 Oct

Did anyone see two F-35s in sun shelters on exiting the show? Probably near the 2x F-18 and Gulfstream. One looked like a roundel on the nose (RAF?) rather than US.

N800PM Gulfstream 5

This may sound non-military, but bear with me. N800PM came on the radar as it appeared at Tonopah Test Range w/c 18-Sep-20 and is pictured there in this article [url]https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/36968/secretive-tonopah-test-range-airport-had-a-mysteriously-busy-week-in-september/[url] At th...

Re: The 'black' USAF C-32Bs

As it's related, I think, to the black C-32Bs....I heard RCH581 departed KNGU (Chambers Field, Norfolk NAS) two days ago 29-Oct @0920z. The only track that correlates was a Gulf 5 which seems to have been N800PM, which has been visiting the same places as the 'Eglin' C-32Bs. I'll start another topic...

Colombo International (CMB/VCBI) 16-Mar-20

Hi

A number of military aircraft seen on departure from Colombo

SMH-4421, SMH-4422 Mil-17 plus a number of others which the video from my phone can't be sure about.

If interested, here's the view out of the window during the takeoff https://youtu.be/gUhpOPHDFXQ

Re: Mil: Brazil questions

Hi, I visited the museum on the 9th Feb 2020, I checked out the shed by the gate on foot and the E110 without a tail is c/n 110168 which makes it '2287', the 87 is actually visible on the port side of the nose, but the C/N is definitely correct.

Re: Help with ID of these Fokkers

Apparently it was 14-June-1994.

Thanks for the help, I hadn't thought to check the Fokker house logo.

Re: Help with ID of these Fokkers

Thanks Luamax, I've only been to Woensdrecht once, so that makes it June-1994. The tail logos don't match anything that I can find, odd!

Help with ID of these Fokkers

Hi, going through my old photos from the 1990s and I found some shots of these. I've had a google around but can't remember where I took the photo, or the operator. They look like Fokker 50s to me, but I'm happy to be corrected. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eCVr42V7074/W3AILO6CKuI/AAAAAAAAyxA/lJF9bT4s3...

Re: The 'black' USAF C-32Bs

Do we agree that 09001 and 24452, which usually operate from McGuire and are refuelling capable - or at least one is - do not normally engage in serial swapping?

It's those airframes that are based at Elgin/Duke/Crestview and Mobile that normally do (86006/96143/25001/N226G/N610G).
